A key focus is ensuring the successful integration of these projects into South East Queensland’s existing rail infrastructure environment. This is a great opportunity to take your systems engineering experience to the next level and take on a client-side position on a SEQLD’s largest infrastructure project.You will have oversight of the system engineering deliverables performed by our contracting delivery partners ensuring they adhere to a ‘good practice’ systems engineering approach and meet contractual obligations. The role will also support technical risk management and  requirements management processes including baseline development, reporting and change management.Working as part of the Systems Engineering & Assurance Team, you’ll collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless system integration, compliance, and operational readiness.  The successful application will be working from our modern corporate office in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD with work from home flexibility. This opportunity is offered as a contract until December 2026 with possible extensions.  Key Responsibilities:Support the development of systems engineering artefacts ensuring contractors meeting contractual systems engineering obligations.Review contractor-submitted systems engineering documentation (e.g., management plans, analyses, reports).Support the development and review of project requirements and specifications ensuring traceability and compliance.Assist with system architecture and interface identification and management.Assess change requests for requirements, systems architecture and interface impacts and prepare documentation for the Change Control Board approvals. Collaborate with project teams to manage and resolve systems engineering and integration related risk and issues.Prepare briefing notes and presentations for stakeholders and management.Review contractor-submitted systems engineering documentation (e.g., management plans, analyses, reports).Support the continuous improvement of Delivery Authority Operating Model inline with ISO 15288  About You:Strong knowledge of systems engineering standards (ISO 15288, INCOSE Handbook, configuration management).Experience in the application of requirements management/ requirements management tools, system architecture definition, interface engineering and configuration management.Experience working in a rail infrastructure / rail systems environment. Understanding of rail regulatory, assurance and acceptance highly regarded.Strong critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills.Relevant engineering qualifications.
